SAT Subject Tests

Students in grades 11 and 12 might be interested in taking the SAT, a suite of exams widely used in the United States to evaluate college and career readiness. The regular SAT session evaluates English reading and writing skills, Math, and includes an essay. Complementary to this and depending on the universities students want to apply for, they may need the SAT Subject Tests.

Subject tests are one hour long and they test on specific subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, Languages etc. There are only a few universities that request these tests. Curious to know whether a university requires the Subject Test? Here's a good link to check out to learn more. As you will see, it's a list of mainly highly selective universities that require Subject Tests.

Please register as soon as possible since the seats available get taken early. Ms. Verónica Cinosi will start meeting with Grade 11 students applying abroad, along with their parents, after Christmas. Please let her know when you are available to meet.

If your child is planning to do the SAT and/or Subject Tests this year, please check the deadlines to register online:

  • March (No Subject Tests), May and June (Only Subject Tests) , November and December.

The idea is that your child takes both the SAT in the spring of Grade 11 in order to repeat it in the beginning of Grade 12 if necessary

SAT Subject Tests

  • Marzo (solo SAT, no Subject Tests), mayo, junio (solo Subject Tests), octubre, noviembre y diciembre.
